2020 – B-Ball For Life Foundation, Inc. donated $500 to the Children’s Cancer Research fund.

Children’s Cancer Research Fund (CCRF) is a national nonprofit dedicated to ending childhood cancer.

With only 4 percent of federal funding available for childhood cancer research, fundraising is crucial to finding safer, more effective therapies for kids battling cancer.

Since 1981, we’ve contributed nearly $186 million to research, support programs for children and families, and education and awareness outreach. During the last fiscal year, 81 percent of funds raised went directly to these program services areas. Learn more about CCRF’s financial performance.

Your support through Great Cycle Challenge USA allows us to continue our work to fight kids’ cancer and give these kids the brighter futures that they deserve.

Together, we can end childhood cancer. Visit our website to learn more about CCRF and our work.

2018 – B-Ball For Life Foundation, Inc. donated $500 to  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to assists in a bone marrow treatment for a child and research/cure.

2016 – B-Ball For Life Foundation, Inc. donated $500 to  St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital to assists in a bone marrow treatment for a child and research/cure.

Once Will was diagnosed with the brain tumor we were told to get a second opinion and also confirm the treatment direction.  We were currently at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia(CHOP) which at the time was either #1 or 2 in the world for childhood brain cancer treatment.   The other hospital was St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  For childhood brain cancer treatment these two hospitals were the (2) best in the world. St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital confirmed CHOP’s treatment direction and felt that CHOP was taking the same direction they would so there was no need to bring Will there.

Another fact about St. Jude’s is that it is run 100% on donations.   Patients never receive a bill from St. Jude’s they cover the cost of all treatments.   Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food. While we accept insurance, many services provided by St. Jude have never been covered by insurance, and will not be in the future.”   – https://www.stjude.org/about-st-jude/unique-operating-model.html?sc_icid=us-mm-model

B-Ball For Life Foundation, Inc. donation to St. Jude’s is distributed this way:

  • 83% – Research & Treatment
  • 12% – Fund Raising
  • 5%  – Administrative

2016 – B-Ball For Life Foundation Inc. sponsored an event for the Saint Mary Girls Varsity Basketball Team.

2014 – B-Ball For Life Foundation Inc. donated $1000 to the Ronald McDonald House, Southern New Jersey.

During those 7 weeks while our son Will Lee was fighting for his life we stayed in the Ronald McDonald facility in The Children’s Hospital Of Philadelphia (CHOP).   In order for me to spend the night with my wife and Will,  I paid $15/night utilizing Ronald McDonald House spend the night program.   B-Ball For Life Foundation Inc. donated $1000 to this spend the night program in order to assist low income families that may not have that $15/night cost.  One of many benefits of donating to the Ronald McDonald House is that the 100% of the donation goes to desired area.  McDonald’s covers all overhead expenses.
